No injuries from fire at 408 E Washington Ave, lightning probable cause

On Monday, June 8, 2026, at approximately 12:36 a.m., the Pittsburg Fire Department responded to a structure fire at 408 E. Washington Ave. Pittsburg.

Fire crews arrived at the house and fought the blaze, the bulk of which was at the back of the structure. The house was determined to be vacant, and no injuries were reported. After a thorough review of the scene, it was determined that a lightning strike was most likely the cause of the fire.
