Welcome to Pittsburg Aquatic Center! The Pittsburg Aquatic Center, located at 708 W. 9th, is your local destination for safe, fun, and family-friendly aquatic activities. Whether you’re learning to swim, spending quality time with loved ones, or celebrating a special occasion, our public pool is here for it all. We offer a welcoming environment for all ages, with certified instructors, attentive lifeguards, and clean, well-kept facilities. From weekday open swims to weekend family time, there’s always a good reason to dive in!

Swim Lessons
Make a splash this season with our swim lessons for all ages and skill levels at the Pittsburg Aquatic Center! Whether your child is just getting comfortable in the water or ready to refine their strokes, our certified instructors provide a safe, supportive, and fun learning environment.
For ages 1 year and older

Session 1: June 1 – 18, Monday – Thursday, 10AM, 10:45AM, 11:30AM, 7:15PM
Session 2: July 6 – 23, Monday – Thursday, 10AM, 10:45AM, 11:30AM
Parent & Tot (Ages 1 – 2 years)
Foster positive water experiences with caregiver support, promote comfort, and introduce early water safety
First-Time Swimmer (Ages 3 – 5 years)
Introduce independent water confidence, basic breath control, beginning movement skills
Level 1: Introduction To Water Skills
Beginning water entry, breath control, and basic propulsion
Level 2: Fundamental Water Skills
Solidify basic movement and introduce rhythmic breathing and body alignment
Level 3: Stroke Development
Refine basic strokes and begin new strokes skills
Level 4: Stroke Improvement
Improvements in stroke technique, endurance, and coordination
Level 5: Stroke Refinement & Skill Proficiency
Polish all four competitive strokes, improve endurance, and introduce advanced aquatic skills. 11:30AM ONLY!
Registration opens May 1, 2026. Spots are limited and fill quickly – reserve your place and help your child gain water confidence and lifelong swim skills. Registration is only available through the Parks and Recreation Office at Lincoln Center.
Lazy River Challenge
This class is anything but lazy! Get ready for a fun, full-body workout that uses the natural resistance of the lazy river to boost your strength, cardio, and balance – all while keeping cool in the water! Participants will walk, jog, and power through the current using a mix of resistance exercises and low-impact cardio moves. It's a refreshing way to stay active and energized. Perfect for all fitness levels — and ideal for parents waiting during swim lessons!

Schlanger Park Splash Pad
Make a splash at our family-friendly splash pad! With exciting water features and plenty of room to play, it’s the perfect place to cool off and enjoy a sunny day! Located in Schlanger Park, the splash pad is surrounded by playgrounds, open green space, and nearby pavilions, making it an ideal spot for birthday parties, family gatherings, and summer celebrations.
