Department Mission

The focus of the Pittsburg Police Department is to deliver excellent, consistent service while fulfilling its core responsibility of ensuring community safety and security. We reaffirm our commitment to being a responsive, reliable, and engaged partner within the community. Central to the success of any community policing effort is active community involvement. Our goal is to build mutual trust and encourage all residents to take an active role in strengthening our community.

Staff

The Pittsburg Police Department is a small, municipal agency comprised of 50 sworn officers and 35 civilian personnel. The Chief of Police serves as the chief executive officer of the department and is charged with the responsibility of achieving the overall objectives of the agency.
