Street Work on K-126 (East 4th Street)
Begins July 10th, 2017
PITTSBURG, Kansas – Work on the KLINK Resurfacing Project on K-126 (East 4th Street) will begin
on Monday, July 10th, 2017. Work will include milling of the existing asphalt pavement, concrete curb
and gutter work, construction of ADA ramps at the intersections, overlay of new asphalt pavement and
pavement marking on K-126 (East 4th Street) from the KCS Overpass to Free King Hwy.
Due to the nature of the work, changes to traffic patterns and traffic delays are expected. Traffic will be
reduced to one lane through the work zone. Side streets will be temporarily closed as the pavement
operation moves through these intersections. All work is anticipated to be completed by August 1st.
Motorists are encouraged to seek alternate routes when possible, to use extreme caution when traveling
in the area of construction and be aware of workers in the WORK ZONE.
The City of Pittsburg appreciates the patience of motorists and residents while this work is being
performed. Please contact the Public Works Department at (620) 231-4100 with questions regarding
this project.
