Road Boring Work on East 20th Street to Cause Traffic Delays

PITTSBURG, KS – The Kansas Department of Health and Environment’s Surfacing Mining Office will be doing some exploratory drilling work on East 20th Street between Rouse Street and Free King Highway on Tuesday, February 5, and Wednesday, February 6, 2019. This work will not require a full road closure, but motorists are being notified of possible traffic delays in this area.  Work is anticipated to be completed by the end of Wednesday.

Traffic barricades and advanced warning signage will be placed along this segment of East 14th Street. Motorists are encouraged to use extreme caution in the work zone or to plan a different travel route during this construction.
