Quincy Street paving to begin Monday

PITTSBURG, KS – Weather permitting, the City of Pittsburg 2018 Street Improvements Project will continue Monday, November 19, with paving work on West Quincy Street.

Crews will begin cleaning the street Monday morning before laying pavement. Paving is expected to begin mid-morning, when temperatures are favorable, and will continue throughout the day. Once work on West Quincy Street is complete, the contractor will continue work in the Countryside Addition.

Traffic will remain open during construction but residents should expect lane closures and minor delays. Motorists are encouraged to seek alternate routes when possible.

The City of Pittsburg is asking motorists to use extreme caution when traveling in the area of construction and be aware of workers in the work zone.
