The Pittsburg Public Housing Authority was recently recognized by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for maintaining fiscal stability and achieving High Performer status designation under the Section 8 Management Assessment Program (SEMAP).
“I am pleased to recognize this accomplishment, which reflects your agency’s commitment to strong leadership, sound management, and effective stewardship of public resources,” said Benjamin Hobbs, Assistant Secretary for Public and Indian Housing with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, in a letter to the Pittsburg Public Housing Authority.
HUD recognized the city’s Public Housing Authority for its strong performance in key operational areas, including housing quality standards, income reexaminations, and lease-up activities.
“This recognition reflects the dedication and hard work of our Housing Authority staff, and I want to thank our team for their continued commitment to serving our community and administering our programs with excellence,” Assistant Director of Housing Megan Keener said.
