Using resources provided by the citizens of Pittsburg, the Pittsburg Fire Department provides fire protection and emergency response services across approximately 13 square miles and to a population of more than 20,000 residents. The department's three fire stations were strategically positioned with future growth in mind, ensuring comprehensive coverage of the community while maintaining response times that exceed national standards. Reflecting the department's commitment to excellence, the City of Pittsburg maintains an ISO Public Protection Classification rating of 2.
