Westar Energy Burglary Arrest

PITTSBURG, KAN. – On Friday, August 17, 2018, shortly after 01:00 a.m., a Pittsburg Police Department Officer on routine patrol observed suspicious activity occurring in the 200 block of West Hudson in Pittsburg. Officers conducted a field investigation and discovered a burglary in progress occurring at the Westar Energy facility located at 2010 John F Kennedy Street.
39 year old John Thomas Dickinson, of Steelville, Missouri, was arrested for Burglary, Criminal Damage, and Felony Theft of Property. Property stolen from Westar Energy during the burglary was recovered on scene.
