On July 13, 2026, at approximately 2:10 a.m., the Pittsburg Fire Department responded to a report of a UTV that was fully involved outside a residence in the 400 block of Windsor.
While en route, dispatch advised that the fire was extending to the residence. Fire crews arrived at the house and quickly controlled the fire involving the UTV. It was discovered that the fire spread from the UTV through the soffit (the underside of the roofline) into the attic space above the garage. Crews removed a truck from the garage and gained access to the attic through the small attic hole in the garage. Crews were able to keep the fire from extending any further into the structure and kept the damage limited to the area above the garage.
The resident had already exited the residence prior to Fire Department arrival, and no injuries were reported. Red Cross was on the scene and assisted the resident.
