Small Business Saturday sign-up open

PITTSBURG, KS – On Saturday, November 28, 2020 the Downtown Advisory Board will be hosting Small Business Saturday event for the fourth year in partnership with the Pittsburg Area Chamber of Commerce.

Small Business Saturday has become well known for breaking shoppers away from large box stores during a weekend of Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales. For many local businesses, Small Business Saturday is one of their best days of the year.

Throughout the day, shoppers are given a “passport” of participating businesses offering sales and specials. As shoppers make purchases, the business will stamp their space on the passport. Once shoppers receive a certain number of stamps, they turn them in to the last business they visit and are entered to win the grand prize.

Any local business can sign up to participate in this year’s festivities. Businesses are not required to be in the downtown district or members of the chamber to join the event. Participating businesses will be put on the Small Business Saturday passport and will be provided custom marketing materials for their business.
