School Safety Traffic Changes

PITTSBURG, KS – The City of Pittsburg is establishing four-way stops at the four intersections around Lakeside Elementary School. This change is being implemented in cooperation with Pittsburg USD 250 School District to improve traffic flow and safety of the students.

The following intersections will be affected:

  • Olive St. and Washington St.
  • Olive St. and Adams St.
  • College St. and Washington St.
  • College and Adams St.

Traffic and communications crews will install stop signs at the intersections beginning at 8:30 am Friday, March 8.
