Pittsburg to host 2025 July 4th Celebration

8:00 am to dusk – Arts, Crafts & Food Vendors set up at Lincoln Park.
8:00 am to 1:00 pm – Information Booth opens at Lincoln Park Pavilion #3.
8:30 am to 10:30 am – Fishing Derby at Lincoln Park pond sponsored by Kansas Wildlife & Parks. Parents, grandparents and kids can dust off their fishing poles and compete in the Fishing Derby. Divisions include adults and children, so all members of the family can participate. First, second and third-place prizes will be awarded for the most fish. Participants must bring their own pole, bait and chair. No preregistration is required. Registrations by the pond starts at 7:45AM Registration fee is $4 for adults and $2 for kids age 16 and under. Fishing starts at 8:30 AM. Prizes for most catfish for youth and adult.
8:00 am – Youth Pickelball Tournament at Four Oaks Golf Course Pickelball Courts. Check in at 8AM. No day-of registration.
8:00 am – RED, WHITE, & PICKLES PICKLEBALL TOURNAMENT at Four Oaks Golf Course Pickleball Courts. Check in at 8AM. No day-of registration. Mixed Division starts first.
9:00 am – 12:00 pm – All-American Putt-Off Mini Golf Tournament at Four Oaks Mini Golf Course. Ages 5 to 17 and Free Entry. First 40 to play will receive a free cone from Dairy Queen.
10:00 am – 6:00 pm – Kiddieland Amusement Park rides open
10:00 am (Girls) / 11:00 am (Boys) – Baby Contest at Lincoln Pavilion #3, Ages 0-24 Months; Day of registration 8AM-10AM is $5 at same Pavilion.
10:00 am – Bocce Tournament at Lincoln Park Bocce Courts. Teams can register for $10 per 2 person team. Preregistration is highly encouraged. Teams must register by 9:00 AM at Lincoln Park Pavilion #3, in order to play.
10:00 am to 2:00 pm – Car Show at the McNally Drive entrance to Lincoln Park. Classic car aficionados will feature their vehicles along McNally Drive. Admission is free and open to the public. Registration 8 AM to 10 AM. Car check in will be located at the northeast entrance of the Don Gutteridge Sports Complex. Concessions will be available on site. $20 per car.
11:00 am – 4:00 pm – Radio Controlled Airplane Demos – 1/2 mile west and 1 mile north of Pittsburg Municipal Airport.
12:00 pm – Cornhole Tournament at Lincoln Park Bocce Pits. Register by 11:00 AM at Lincoln Pavilion #3. $10 per team.
12:00 pm – Mini Golf Open. $2 per person
1:00 pm to 5:00 pm – $1 Swim Day at Pittsburg Aquatic Center. Children under three years swim for free. All other swimmers pay just $1.
1:45 pm – Free Youth Disc Golf Clinic at the Lincoln Park Disc Golf Course. This event is open to children ages 17 and under. Attendees will meet near the west side of Lincoln Center, 710 W. 9th St. Preregistration is highly encouraged.
2:00 pm – Free Youth Freedom Fling Disc Golf Tournament at the Lincoln Park Disc Golf Course. This event is open to children ages 17 and under. Attendees will meet near the west side of Lincoln Center, 710 W. 9th St.
6:00 pm – 10:00 pm – Live Entertainment at the JJ Richards Band Dome at Lincoln Park. This event features performances by Bobby Degonia and Stone Country.
10:00 pm – Fireworks Display – The celebration concludes with a bang, during the annual fireworks display. The show begins at 10:00 pm at Lincoln Park. For those interested in music synced to the fireworks display, please click the link below and press play at 10 PM.
