City Press Releases, Police Department Press Release

October 2, 2018

For the second year in a row, the Pittsburg Police Department is joining law enforcement agencies across the country in supporting breast cancer survivors by participating in Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

During the month of October, Pittsburg patrol cars will feature a special pink ribbon decal and officers will wear pink ribbon pins to show their support for survivors of breast cancer.

“Members of our blue family have been impacted by breast cancer along with countless members of our community,” said Major Brent Narges. “The pink badging decal on our patrol cars is a small way the Pittsburg Police Department can show support and recognition for those individuals and families.”
