Members of the Pittsburg Fire Department will honor fallen heroes during the 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb on Saturday, September 8, in Wichita, Kansas. Firefighters will climb in honor of the 343 first responders who lost their lives on September 11, 2001.
Hosted at the Epic Center in downtown Wichita, KS, firefighters will climb 110 floors in remembrance of fallen firefighters. Each participant will carry a badge containing the picture and name of a fallen first responder.
The annual Wichita Fire Department stair climb has taken place each year since 2015, and is a sanctioned event of the Association of Memorial Stair Climbs, a 501(c) 3 organization. Proceeds benefit the New York City Fire Department Fire Family Transport Foundation.
