PITTSBURG, KS – The following actions were taken during the Pittsburg City Commission meeting held on May 25, 2021:

 

Public Input

  • Mark Chambers provided an invocation.

Commissioners approved the following items under the consent agenda:

  • The May 11, 2021, City Commission Meeting minutes.
  • Appropriation Ordinance for the period ending May 25th, 2021, subject to the release of HUD expenditures when funds are received.

 

No items were removed from the consent agenda for further discussion.

 

Commissioners considered no other items on the agenda:

 

SPECIAL PRESENTATIONS:

  • 2020 COMPREHENSIVE ANNUAL FINANCIAL REPORT (CAFR) – Karen Linn, of BT&Co. P.A., the City’s auditing firm, reviewed the City’s 2020 audit and CAFR. Ms. Linn congratulated the City on strong financial reporting, expressing appreciation for the cooperation of City staff and recognizing an unmodified audit opinion – indicating fair and true financial reporting.

The Pittsburg City Commission meets on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month at 5:30 pm, inside the Beard-Shanks Law Enforcement Center courtroom.
