Jack & Judy Laforge have owned their home for 22 years, and spend about 8 hours per week in the summer, spring, and fall working on their property. They enjoy their home and like the outdoors, and want their home to look nice. By investing in their property, they feel they can maintain their neighborhood, and the value of their home. Judy reports she comes from a “long line of garden and flower generations, and so enjoys having a nice yard and flowers!”

Jared & Lisa Hicks have owned their home for 7 years. They spend about 10 hours per month working on their property. They believe that it is important to take pride in their neighborhood and community, and that caring for their property shows that they care. Keeping a clean and well-kept home makes them feel better about themselves, and their city. They feel that positive appearances make great first impressions, especially to out-of-town guests, tourists, and potential college students. “We are honored to receive this award among many great properties in Pittsburg.”

Victoria Fajardo has owned her property for 8 years. She reports it is important to keep her business property well-maintained to lessen unexpected repairs, and ensure that it is safe, clean, and welcoming to all her clients. “An attractive view from the street can help draw more business to the city of Pittsburg. The appearance of a building is important for a business’ success. I’m one of the small businesses across the country impacted by the corona virus. When the salon got shut down for two months, it was a challenging time for a non-essential business owner like me. But with the support and encouragement of my family, friends, and co-workers, we were able to transform my old building into a beautiful, modern style establishment. It’s definitely a “silver lining” during all the chaos! Special thanks to Cassandra Ngo, Seth George, Joseph Sims, Brandon Ngo, Taylor Edwards, Tess Carl, Marta Bolinger, Linda Fox, Samatha Farmer, Whitney Wells, and Mark Bolinger for all your help!”

Thank you all for making Pittsburg beautiful!
