Photo Scanning Night set for June 11

To help preserve Pittsburg’s history, the Celebrate Pittsburg Committee and the Axe Library Special Collections will host a photo scanning night on June 11.

Special Collections will scan community photographs into the collections archive, preserving them for generations to come from 4 p.m. – 6 p.m. at Leonard H. Axe Library, 1605 S Joplin St, Pittsburg.

Pittsburg memorabilia, including merchandise, signs, books, and apparel, will also be collected. Selected items may go to the Miners Hall Museum for the Historical Exhibit scheduled for July through September. Memorabilia can be donated to the museum permanently or temporarily loaned for the duration of the exhibit and then returned.
