New celebratory exhibit at MACC

Memorial Auditorium

May 6, 2026

Pittsburg Memorial Auditorium and Convention Center’s Beverly Corcoran Art Gallery’s newest exhibit, Main Streets of America, has opened for the month of May. The exhibit will spotlight the character, history, and visual identity of small-town America through a national lens and a local perspective.

The exhibit features a collection of 29 photographs, including 24 historic images sourced from the Library of Congress’s “Free to Use and Reuse” Main Streets of America collection. These photographs capture the evolution of American downtowns – documenting architecture, commerce, and everyday life across generations.

In addition to the photography, the exhibit includes a selection of Pittsburg memorabilia, curated to honor and celebrate the city’s 150th anniversary. These items provide historical context, offering visitors a chance to reflect on Pittsburg’s growth. Memorial Auditorium invites visitors to view this art gallery from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, during the month of May.
