On Thursday afternoon, February 15, 2024, at approximately 3:30 PM, law enforcement officers from the Pittsburg Police Department, responded to a daycare located on E. 13th St., in Pittsburg, regarding a report from staff that a male subject was observed standing across the street openly masturbating. The police department’s dispatch center received additional calls about the suspect, enabling officers to help track the offender down to the area of 10th and Rouse St.
Upon officers’ arrival to the area, the suspect, who was later identified as 18-year-old Walter Lalimo, of Pittsburg, began to flee from the officers on foot. After a brief foot pursuit, the officers apprehended Mr. Lalimo and took him into custody without further incident.
Mr. Lalimo was arrested for Aggravated Indecent Liberties with a Child and Felony Interference with Law Enforcement. Mr. Lalimo was transported to the jail at the Crawford County Sheriff’s office for booking, and he is currently being held without bond.
