Kiddieland and Aquatic Center to open May 22

 Summer is near, and that means the Pittsburg Aquatic Center and Kiddieland will finally open their doors for the season.

Both the Aquatic Center and Kiddieland will open on Friday, May 22. The Aquatic Center, located at 708 W 9th St, will be open from 1 to 7 p.m. on Monday through Friday and 1- 5 p.m. on weekends. It features a large pool, two water slides, a lazy river, kiddie pool with slide, and a sand volleyball court. The splash pad located at Schlanger Park, located at 725 E 6th St, opens on May 15. Its hours are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Until May 31, Kiddieland, located at 801 Memorial Dr, will only be open from 5-8 p.m. on Fridays, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturdays and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sundays. Hours will be extended after June 2 through Aug. 9. Kiddieland offers several family-friendly amusement rides and can also be booked for private parties.
