Just Another Mudder this Saturday

Pittsburg, KS – This Saturday, April 20, the Pittsburg Parks & Recreation Department will host its sixth annual Just Another Mudder youth obstacle course. The event begins at 10:00 am and will be held in the lot north of Names & Numbers, 1225 E. Centennial Dr., Pittsburg.

Just Another Mudder is one-mile youth adventure race for children five years of age and older. This event challenges kids to run, jump and crawl through a mud-filled obstacle course. Just Another Mudder is held in heats, meaning that kids will race in groups every 30 minutes. With more than 300 participants registered so far, the 10:00 am – 11:30 am slots are now full. However, the 12:00 pm and 12:30 pm heats are still available.

Preregistration is encouraged, but participants can still register to compete up until the day of the event. The registration fee is $15 through April 19, and $20 on the day of the event. T-shirts are not guaranteed for those who register late.

Proceeds from the Just Another Mudder race will go toward enhancements to the Everybody Plays Playground at Pittsburg’s Schlanger Park. This universally accessible playground is designed for children and families of all ages and abilities.
