PITTSBURG, KS – On April 28, crews began demolition on the Jack Johnson Pickleball and Tennis Courts at the Four Oaks Sports Complex.
Once demolition is completed, twelve new pickleball courts will be installed, including new fencing and other amenities. The new courts will be constructed with tension concrete and will be regulation size. We remind you that the public courts at the YMCA and Schlanger Park are available during this time.
“This project is exciting not just for the pickleball community, but the entire area, Director of Parks and Recreation Toby Book said. “Once complete, we can offer a better, safer experience for all of our patrons and additional court space to accommodate larger formatted leagues and tournaments.”
