City provides South Rouse traffic update

City Press Releases

December 3, 2018

PITTSBURG, KS – City officials plan to eliminate the South Rouse detour and reestablish two-way traffic at 12:00 pm Thursday, December 6.

Paving work along South Rouse from the south city limits to Amber Drive is finished and crews are waiting for concrete to cure before establishing two-way traffic.

Motorists should use caution, and be mindful of workers and other vehicles as lanes will be narrow and construction work is ongoing. A speed limit on South Rouse of 20 miles per hour will be enforced. Paving work is set to continue through the winter months as weather allows.

The City of Pittsburg appreciates the patience of residents and travelers as these safety improvements are made. Those with questions about the project can call (620) 240-5116 or email projects@pittks.org.
