PITTSBURG, KS – March is bringing a variety of exciting events to the City of Pittsburg, offering something for everyone to enjoy as winter gives way to spring.

One person’s clutter is another’s treasure, and you can find plenty of hidden gems at the Pittsburg Parks and Recreation Department’s Kid’s Garage Sale, happening March 15. From 9:00 AM to 12:00 AM, dozens of families will be set up at the Lincoln Center to sell off their used goods.

The Pittsburg Parks and Recreation Department’s Spring Adult Softball League is gearing up to start. Six weeks of adult softball matches start on March 18 and runs until May 21. The end-of-season tournament is set for the last week of play.

The Pittsburg Community Theatre’s Spring 2025 production of Lend Me a Tenor is a madcap comedy that delivers nonstop laughter. Set in 1934, the story follows a single day in the life of Cleveland’s Grand Opera Company. Their much-anticipated production of Otello is at stake as they await the arrival of famed Italian tenor Tito Merelli, also known as “Il Stupendo.” However, Tito’s grand entrance takes a chaotic turn when he arrives late, exhausted, and in a sour mood, exacerbated by his jealous wife’s suspicions. The play runs from March 28 to March 30 at the Memorial Auditorium.

Participants can explore the world at their own pace when they join the city’s senior citizen travel group! On March 26, members can hit the jackpot of fun on the Senior Casino Trip – where the only thing better than the games is the company! The 25-dollar fee includes lunch at the Backwoods Bar & Grill. Extra money is needed to gamble.

March’s Senior Bingo Nights will be held on March 7 and 28 of this year at the Lincoln Center.
