PITTSBURG, KS – Following the recent severe storm, City crews are actively working to clean up debris and address damage along roadways, sidewalks, and public spaces. The safety and accessibility of public areas remain a top priority as recovery efforts continue.

At this time, the City is not scheduling a citywide curbside debris pick-up. However, residents who have the ability to transport their own storm-related debris are encouraged to use the City’s designated burn site.
The burn site is located 1.5 miles east of Quincy and Rouse and will offer expanded hours of operation to accommodate increased usage:
  • This week:
    Thursday and Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
  • Next week:
    Tuesday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Residents with questions or in need of further information are encouraged to contact the Parks and Recreation Office at 620-231-8310.
We appreciate the community’s patience and cooperation as we work through the aftermath of the storm.
