Industrial Revenue Bonds IRB
IRBs are a financing tool that can help eligible businesses fund the acquisition, construction, renovation, or expansion of facilities.
What are Industrial Revenue Bonds?
The City of Pittsburg may issue Industrial Revenue Bonds (IRBs) to support projects that promote economic development, business expansion, job creation, and private investment within the community. IRBs are a financing tool that can help eligible businesses fund the acquisition, construction, renovation, or expansion of facilities.
While IRBs are repaid solely by the applicant and do not create a general financial obligation for the City, projects approved for IRB financing may be eligible to apply for certain incentives, including property tax abatements, as permitted by state law and local policy.
All IRB requests are subject to City review and approval and must demonstrate economic benefits to the Pittsburg community. Applicants should review the City’s IRB Guidelines for eligibility requirements, evaluation criteria, and application procedures.
