Help Wanted! Volunteer Board Members Needed!
The Pittsburg Parks & Recreation Department has two (2) upcoming board member openings and is now accepting applications from community members that are interested in voluntarily serving on this board.
Completed applications can be returned on or before November 26, 2019 to the City of Pittsburg City Clerk.
All interested applicants must submit a completed application by the deadline as well as attend the December 10, 2019, Pittsburg City Commission Meeting at 5:30pm at the Law Enforcement Center, 201 N. Pine. Appointments to the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board will be made by the City Commission during this meeting.

Residents of the City of Pittsburg and those who live within eight miles of 4th and Broadway are eligible to serve on the Parks & Recreation Advisory Board, which has five members, each serving four-year terms. Board members review and recommend programs, recreational activities, fees, etc., for the department. They also review the status of the park facilities and make recommendations in regard to expansion, renovation or maintenance.
