Businesses, organizations, and groups of all kinds are invited to register for the 47th annual Pittsburg Christmas Parade set for Monday, Nov. 30 in Downtown Pittsburg.
The parade is themed “A very Merry 150,” celebrating Pittsburg’s 150th anniversary. Pittsburg Parks & Recreation (PPRD), which organizes the event each year, hopes to reach 100 entries this year and wants to see some great floats celebrating 150 years of Christmas in Pittsburg.
That’s up for the participant to interpret. Whether that’s old-timey decorated floats or representations of historical businesses or figures, they would like to remind participants that there’s only one Santa, and he will be riding on the fire truck at the end of the parade.
Registration is free. To register, call PPRD at 620-231-8310. Registration ends Nov. 25.
