What type of outreach does the Fire Department do?
At the Pittsburg Fire Department, we work to help educate children and adults on fire safety and emergency preparedness. Outreach varies and is tailored for audiences including children, adults, and people with intellectual or developmental disabilities. We host fire prevention talks and presentations such as cooking safety and child fire safety development, smoke detector and CO detector installs. We also provide fire station tours and make appearances at events to show trucks and equipment (Birthday party appearance’s). Fire extinguisher use education is also available.
