Pittsburg Aquatic Center is your local destination for safe, fun, and family-friendly aquatic activities. Whether you’re learning to swim, spending quality time with loved ones, or celebrating a special occasion, our public pool is here for it all.

We offer a welcoming environment for all ages, with certified instructors, attentive lifeguards, and clean, well-kept facilities. From weekday open swims to weekend family time, there’s always a good reason to dive in!

🏊‍♀️Swim Lessons:

Make a splash this season with our swim lessons for all ages and skill levels at the Pittsburg Aquatic Center! Whether your child is just getting comfortable in the water or ready to refine their strokes, our certified instructors provide a safe, supportive, and fun learning environment.

🕒 Time: 10:00am, 11:00am, OR 7:15pm 
👥 Ages: 6 months+
💲 Cost: $40 per session per child

Swim Levels Offered:

• Parent & Tot (Ages 6 months – 3 years)
  A water discovery class for infants and toddlers with a parent in the water. Focuses on comfort, bonding, and basic water movement.

• First-Time Swimmer (Ages 3 – 5 years)
  Basic water skills, adapting to the water, underwater exploration and more.

• Level 1: Introduction To Water Skills
  Basic water safety rules, submerging, swimming, floating, and more.

• Level 2: Fundamental Water Skills
  Moving in the water with a life jacket, trading, swimming, strokes, and more.

• Level 3: Stroke Development
  Stroke development, reaching, submerging, floating, retrieving, and more.

• Level 4: Stroke Development
  Diving from stride position, floating, backstrokes, breaststroke, butterfly, and more.

• Level 5: Stroke Refinement & Skill Proficiency
  Survival swimming, standing dive, and basic rescue techniques. 11:00AM ONLY!

• Level 6: Advanced Swim Team Stroke & Development 
  This level is for those that have passed level 5. Swim team stroke and skill development and refinement. 11:00AM ONLY!

📝 Registration opens May 1st! Spots are limited and fill quickly — reserve your place and help your child gain water confidence and lifelong swim skills. Registration is through the Parks and Recreation Office only!

🌊 Lazy River Challenge Class:

This class is anything but lazy! Get ready for a fun, full-body workout that uses the natural resistance of the lazy river to boost your strength, cardio, and balance — all while keeping cool in the water!

Participants will walk, jog, and power through the current using a mix of resistance exercises and low-impact cardio moves. It’s a refreshing way to stay active and energized.

💪 Perfect for all fitness levels — and ideal for parents waiting during swim lessons!

Enjoy dedicated time in the pool for uninterrupted lap swimming. Whether you’re training for fitness, building endurance, or simply enjoying a peaceful swim, our lap swim sessions offer a calm and structured environment for all skill levels.
