Senior Bingo
Join Pittsburg Parks and Recreation for bingo, snacks, and good company. The event starts at 1 p.m. at the Lincoln Center, 710 W. 9th, Pittsburg. Cost: 50 cents per meeting, 25 cents per card. For more information contact PPRD at 620-231-8310.

Memorial Auditorium: Jazz Fest
“Jazz Group of the Year” nominee The Lao Tizer Band will be the featured artist for the 52nd Annual PSU Jazz Festival. The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. on March 6 at Memorial Auditorium in Downtown Pittsburg, opening with a performance by the PSU Jazz Band under the direction of Professor Todd Hastings, then continuing with Lao Tizer. Pittsburg Public Library: Talking Heads Discussion Group
The Talking Heads Discussion Group meets on Friday mornings at 9 a.m. at the Library. Using The Great Courses Series from The Teaching Company, participants watch a 30-minute DVD lecture and then the floor opens for discussion. New participants are always welcome!

Pittsburg Public Library: Author Talk with Misty L. Heggeness
Pittsburg Public Library will host economist and author, Misty L. Heggeness for an Author Talk over her newest release, “Swiftynomics,” on Saturday, March 7 at 2 p.m. This free program is open to the public.

Pittsburg City Commission Meeting
The Pittsburg City Commission meets on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month at 5:30 p.m., inside the Beard-Shanks Law Enforcement Center courtroom. Commission meetings are broadcast live on Cox channel 6, Craw-Kan channel 406, and on the city’s YouTube channel: www.pittks.org/YouTube.

Library Board of Trustees Meeting
The Library Board of Trustees will hold its monthly meeting in-person in the Pittsburg Public Library meeting room. Meetings are typically held on the second Wednesday of each month at 4:30 p.m. For more information, contact Bev Clarkson at 620-231-8100.
Sustainability Advisory Committee Meeting
The Sustainability Advisory Committee will hold its regularly scheduled monthly meeting at City Hall. The committee typically meets every second Wednesday of the month at 11:30 a.m.
Memorial Auditorium Advisory Board Meeting
The Memorial Auditorium Advisory Board will hold its regular meeting at Memorial Auditorium. This board meets every other month on the second Wednesday at 4 p.m.

Spring Break Pickleball Clinic
Pittsburg Parks & Recreation will host a pickleball clinic for children during spring break at Jack Johnson Court. Children in kindergarten through second grade will go at 10 – 11 a.m. and children in third through sixth grade will be at 11 a.m. – noon. For more information contact PPRD at 620-231-8310.

Camp Now & Then
Camp Now & Then is a fun camp for children ages 5-12 to attend when school is out. Campers will enjoy games, crafts, sports, and themed activities that keep their minds and bodies moving. The camp will be from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Lincoln Center at 710 W 9th St, Pittsburg. Registration is $25. Register your child by contacting the Pittsburg Parks & Recreation Department at 620-231-8310.

Dementia Caregivers Support Group
The Dementia Caregivers Support Group will meet from 10-11 a.m. at the Pittsburg Public Library. The support group is facilitated by the KU Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center. The group offers an opportunity for caregivers to engage and support each other throughout their journey. The group meets on the third Thursday of the month at 10 a.m. at the library. New participants are always welcome and no registration is required.
Companions in Grief Support Group
The Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice is hosting Companions in Grief, a grief support group. The group will meet from 2 to 3 p.m. on the third Thursday of each month at the Pittsburg Public Library. This monthly support group is for adults coping with the loss of a loved one. Hospice staff will provide information and allow time for sharing. The group is open to the community.

Memorial Auditorium: A Night in Philadelphia
Miners Hall Museum’s fundraiser “A Night in Philadelphia” will be at 6 p.m. on March 21, 2026 at Memorial Auditorium and Convention Center. Tickets will go on sale Feb. 23 through the museum by calling 620-347-4220.
