Easter Egg Hunt

O.K. Kid’s Day
Outdoor Kansas Kid’s Day is a statewide event designed to introduce not only children, but parents, grandparents, and friends to what the outdoors has to offer. Lots of events are offered each year and truly includes something for everyone and every age! This event is open to all ages, but all children under the age of 8 need to be accompanied by an adult depending on the activity. Check our Facebook page for date, time and location.
Corporate Challenge

Each year employees, managers and volunteers from companies throughout Crawford County’s business community will participate in Corporate Challenge. Four evenings filled with events that encourage a fun, active lifestyle for all participants! Annual Christmas Parade
Monday, November 28, 6:30 pm | Downtown Pittsburg
Help the City of Pittsburg Parks & Recreation Department kick off the holiday season at the annual Christmas Parade! This event takes place each year on the Monday evening following the Thanksgiving holiday. Visit our Facebook page for more details.
Parade Entry Information
LINE UP:
Entries will line up from 5:00 pm – 6:15 pm on Monday, November 28, 2022, on Broadway street (facing south in front of the Pittsburg Community Middle School, approx. 1200 block of Broadway). Entries lining up on Broadway are to enter from the NORTH side of the 14th Street intersection.
- BAND ENTRIES will line up on EAST 11th street.
- DANCE GROUP ENTRIES will line up on WEST 11th street.
- Entries are not to line up prior to 5:00 PM as streets may not be closed and this may cause safety issues with traffic.
- Parade will begin promptly at 6:30 PM.
ROUTE:
- Parade route is on Broadway Street going south from 10th Street to 2nd Street.
WEATHER POLICY:
- Should inclement weather strike the day of the parade, please call the inclement weather hotline at 620-232-PARK (7275) or visit our Pittsburg Parks & Recreation Facebook page for status updates on the event.
RULES:
- The one and only Santa in the parade will be riding on the fire truck at the end of the parade. No other Santas allowed!
- Candy and other items are NOT to be thrown from any parade entry. Items may be handed out by walking along the curb.
- Entries must be decorated with a Christmas/holiday theme.
- All floats with electrical mechanisms and/or flammable materials must be treated with flame retardant mixtures.
- Inspection of all entries will be completed by the Pittsburg Fire Department to ensure compliance and safety.
- All entries must be registered in order to participate.
Entry Deadline
All entry forms must be received by November 22, 2022.
