Hey Kids! Have too much stuff? Need to make room for new toys or clothes? This is your chance to sell them and get cash to spend for spring, summer and winter breaks! PPRD will advertise for you and provide the tables and chairs!

Easter Egg Hunt
Join Pittsburg Parks & Recreation for a fun Easter Egg Hunt for area youth at Lincoln Park, 813 Memorial Drive. The Easter Bunny might hop on over for a surprise visit! Be sure to bring your cameras!

O.K. Kid’s Day
Outdoor Kansas Kid’s Day is a statewide event designed to introduce not only children, but parents, grandparents, and friends to what the outdoors has to offer. A ton of events are offered each year and truly includes something for everyone and every age! This event is open to all ages, but all children under the age of 8 need to be accompanied by an adult depending on the activity.
Join PPRD and Pittsburg State University HHPR Department for a fun day of events planned out by Pittstate students. The theme this year is splashing through the park.

Corporate Challenge
Kick Off Date: TBA | Various Locations and Dates
Each year employees, managers and volunteers from companies throughout Crawford County’s business community will participate in Corporate Challenge. Four evenings filled with events that encourage a fun, active lifestyle for all participants! Events offered are a wide variety to target the corporate population as whole – not just the athletic elite.
Each day’s scores will be tallied from activities the night before. Standings will be posted on the website as well at the PPRD Facebook page. Any changes to games or schedules (due to weather, etc.) will be updated on the Pittsburg Parks & Recreation Department’s Facebook page.

Drive Thru Christmas In The Park Parade
November 28, 2022 | 6:30 pm | Downtown Pittsburg
Help the City of Pittsburg Parks & Recreation Department kick off the holiday season at the annual Christmas Parade! Parade route will be through downtown Pittsburg, KS and will be determined by volume of entries. More information on parade route and entry line up will be available on the Pittsburg Parks & Recreation’s Facebook page.
Parade Entries:
We encourage all community members to join in on the annual Christmas Parade. Categories include floats, marching bands/dance groups, vehicles and animal/horse.
Parade will begin promptly at 6:30PM
RULES:
- The one and only Santa in the parade will be riding on the fire truck at the end of the parade. No other Santa’s allowed.
- Candy and other items are NOT to be thrown from any parade entry. Items may be handed out by walking along the curb.
- Entries must be decorated with a Christmas/holiday theme.
- All floats with electrical mechanisms and/or flammable materials must be treated with flame retardant mixtures.
- Inspection of all entries will be completed by the Pittsburg Fire Department to ensure compliance and safety.
- All entries must be registered in order to participate
