Department Mission
The mission of the City of Pittsburg Parks and Recreation Department is to provide a comprehensive array of services and programs to meet the recreation and leisure service needs of all the citizens of Pittsburg.

Divisions
         This division offers a large zero depth entry pool, 2 diving boards, toddler pool with
         frog slide and play area, flume slide, mammoth slide, lazy river, sand volleyball,
         bath house, lockers, concession area and operates the Schlanger Wading Pool.   

         This division offers a clubhouse, 18 hole course, driving range, practice putting
         green, 18 hole mini course, 2 basketball courts, 4 tennis courts, 7 horseshoe pits,
         2 cart sheds, and RV Park.

  • Memorial Auditorium and Convention Center
         This division offers an auditorium that hosts concerts, plays, large assemblies, 
         and more. A convention center that can offer space for conventions, trades
         shows, private parties, wedding receptions, and a variety of community events.

  • Parks/Mt. Olive Cemetery
          This division maintains the grounds of 14 parks, 9 ball diamonds, 7 City buildings,
          Watco Trail, about 25 street right of ways and lots, 2 disc golf courses, 4 "Welcome
          to Pittsburg" signs, 12 shelters, and 2 community centers that are available to rent
          for private parties, meetings, receptions, showers and more. This division also
          over sees Mt. Olive Cemetery, which has the responsibilities of mowing, weed
          eating and maintaining the Mt. Olive Abby.

  • Recreation/Programs  
          This division provides year-round recreation opportunities and special events for the
          community. It is responsible for offering youth, adult, senior, special populations
  and pet programs for the citizens of Pittsburg and the surrounding area.
