Spruce Up Pittsburg

March 23 Spruce Up Pittsburg Event

On Thursday, March 23, the city held it’s second Spruce Up Pittsburg Community Conversation at Memorial Auditorium. At that meeting, the city shared the results of the public survey and feedback received regarding the needs and concerns from each quadrant. Presenters discussed how to use SeeClickFix, the city’s system for reporting issues, and how those reports are assigned and addressed by city departments. Additionally, the city discussed local resources available for Pittsburg residents. The full presentation is available to download below:

Become a Neighborhood Advocate!

The goal of the “Spruce Up Pittsburg” initiative is to establish a sustainable annual cleanup program. To help us become more effective at cleaning up the city, we are empowering individuals, organizations, and businesses to get involved and actively engaged in improving their neighborhoods. We are needing “Block Champions” to help us identify the needs of their neighborhood, and help get the word out about city resources.

Lunch & Learn

We are hosting a Block Champion Lunch & Learn on Wednesday, April 12, from 11:30 am-1:00 pm at Memorial Auditorium in the lower level. Join us for a delicious lunch (details to come) and a conversation about how we can all work together to beautify the places where we live.

WHAT IF I’M NOT SURE?
This is an interest meeting where you can ask lots of questions and decide how you would like to get involved, and at what level. Either way, lunch is on us! What have you got to lose?

RSVP to Sarah Runyon at (620) 230-5637 or email sarah.runyon@pittks.org.
