Artsy Thursday: Pittsburg PD Celebrates Week of the Young Child with art

In celebration of the Week of the Young Child, the Pittsburg Police Department Family Advocates will have art supplies for 100 children to take home during their Artsy Thursday event.

Families can pick up the art supplies (while supplies last) starting at 3 p.m. on Thursday, April 16, at the Law Enforcement Center located at 201 N. Pine St. Pittsburg.

“We are so excited to be part of the Week of the Young Child,” Family Advocate Diann Gambill said. “Children are invited to come by and grab some supplies and create a self-portrait that celebrates them.”
