Feb. 10

Pittsburg City Commission Meeting

The Pittsburg City Commission meets on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month at 5:30 p.m., inside the Beard-Shanks Law Enforcement Center courtroom. Commission meetings are broadcast live on Cox channel 6, Craw-Kan channel 406, and on the city’s YouTube channel: www.pittks.org/YouTube.

Feb. 11

Library Board of Trustees Meeting

The Library Board of Trustees will hold its monthly meeting in-person in the Pittsburg Public Library meeting room. Meetings are typically held on the second Wednesday of each month at 4:30 p.m. For more information, contact Bev Clarkson at 620-231-8100.

Sustainability Advisory Committee Meeting

The Sustainability Advisory Committee will hold its regularly scheduled monthly meeting at City Hall. The committee typically meets every second Wednesday of the month at 11:30 a.m.

Memorial Auditorium Advisory Board Meeting

The Memorial Auditorium Advisory Board will hold its regular meeting at Memorial Auditorium. This board meets every other month on the second Wednesday at 4 p.m.

Feb. 13, 19 & 20

Camp Now & Then

Camp Now & Then is a fun camp for children ages 5-12 to attend when school is out. Campers will enjoy games, crafts, sports, and themed activities that keep their minds and bodies moving. The camp will be from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Lincoln Center at 710 W 9th St, Pittsburg. Registration is $25. Register your child by contacting the Pittsburg Parks & Recreation Department at 620-231-8310.

Feb. 19

Dementia Caregivers Support Group

The Dementia Caregivers Support Group will meet from 10-11 a.m. Feb. 19 at the Pittsburg Public Library. The support group is facilitated by the KU Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center. The group offers an opportunity for caregivers to engage and support each other throughout their journey. The group meets on the third Thursday of the month at 10 a.m. at the library. New participants are always welcome and no registration is required.

Companions in Grief Support Group

The Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice is hosting Companions in Grief, a grief support group. The group will meet from 2 to 3 p.m. on the third Thursday of each month at the Pittsburg Public Library. This monthly support group is for adults coping with the loss of a loved one. Hospice staff will provide information and allow time for sharing. The group is open to the community.

Feb. 19-22

Triple Threat Threeatrics: The Addams Family Musical

Triple Threat Threeatrics will present the musical “The Addams Family” at Pittsburg Memorial Auditorium and Convention Center. The show will start at 7 p.m. on Feb. 19 – 21 and there will be a 2 p.m. show on Feb. 22. Tickets can be purchased at memorialauditorium.ludus.com

Pittsburg Celebration Committee Meeting

The Pittsburg Celebration Committee (also known as Pitt 150) meets the last Wednesday of each month at 1:50 p.m. at the Pittsburg Area Chamber office. Email Celebratepittsburg@gmail.com for more information.

Feb. 26

Senior Bingo

Join Pittsburg Parks and Recreation for bingo, snacks, and good company. The event starts at 1 p.m. at the Lincoln Center, 710 W. 9th, Pittsburg. Cost: 50 cents per meeting, 25 cents per card. For more information contact PPRD at 620-231-8310.

Feb. 28

Boots & Bling Dad & Daughter Dance

The annual dad and daughter dance is set for 5:30 p.m. on Feb. 28 in the lower level of Memorial Auditorium and Convention Center. RSVP by Feb. 14 at 620-231-8310. Cost: $30 per couple, $15 per additional attendee.

2026 Snowball – Adult Softball Tournament

The 2026 Snowball will start at 9 a.m. on Feb. 28 at Lincoln Park. There is a $175 entry fee, mixed 7 to 3, Pittsburg Parks and Recreation Department and USSSA Rules, $10 hour bands (3 max), double elimination. For more information contact PPRD at 620-231-8310.
