Christmas parade applications open

The Christmas parade has been a tradition that brings over 6 thousand people together to kick off the holiday season.

This year’s parade is set for 6:30 p.m. on Dec. 1 at Downtown Broadway.

For those interested in being in the parade, application deadlines are approaching and are due by 5 p.m. on Nov. 26. Participants can walk the parade, have a float, bring their vehicle, perform with their dance group or marching band, or bring an animal.

The applications can be accessed online and returned to Pittsburg Parks and Recreation via email at pprd@pittks.org, can be dropped off at the PPRD office at 710 W 9^th St, or mail it to PPRD at PO Box 688, Pittsburg. There is no fee to be in the parade.
