Bike Registration Day

Police Department Press Release

November 5, 2019

The Pittsburg Police Department is hosting a Bike Registration Day on Saturday, November 9, 2019, from 12pm to 4pm. The Pittsburg Police Department would like to offer bike registration services during a weekend to allow residents a chance to register their bikes. This Saturday afternoon, officers will be set up on the north end of the Law Enforcement Center, near the public exchange area, for any owners who would like to register their bikes with the Pittsburg Police Department. This service is completely free to all members of the community.

The Bike Registration program was an initiative released on October 1, 2019, after conducting online polls within our community. This program aims to allow members of the community the opportunity to have their bike’s information recorded with the Pittsburg Police Department in case the bike is ever lost or stolen. Bikes that are registered with our program will be issued an official Pittsburg Police Department tamper-evident label with an identification number correlating to our records, which will help officers identify lost or stolen bikes and return them to their rightful owner quicker than before.
