Project Coordinator

Location: Pittsburg, KS

The City of Pittsburg is accepting applications for a full time Project Coodinator with the Parks and Recreation department. This position plans and organizes projects within the department of Parks and Recreation, prepares project descriptions including estimated budgets, and organizes contracts and City staff for completion of projects.

Requirements

A minimum of a vocational or technical degree preferred.

Experience in building, grounds or facilities maintenance, electrical maintenance, general knowledge of forestry, construction, parks system and/or sports fields also preferred.

Candidates should have the ability to obtain Playground Safety Inspector certification within 2 years from date of hire and must have a valid driver’s license.

CDL certification is required or must be obtained within 6 months from date of hire.

The position will operate heavy equipment such as backhoe, loader, crane, scraper, grader, etc.

Must be able to pass a background check, drug screen and physical.
