Their much-anticipated production of Pagliacci is at stake as they await the arrival of famed Italian tenor Tito Merelli\, also known as “Il Stupendo.” However\, Tito’s grand entrance takes a chaotic turn when he arrives late\, exhausted\, and in a sour mood\, exacerbated by his jealous wife’s suspicions.\n \nA comedy of errors unfolds when Tito accidentally overdoses on tranquilizers\, and the opera’s director\, Saunders\, mistakenly believes him to be dead.
