SUMMARY:Pitt150 Exhibit
DESCRIPTION:The exhibit “Blueprints of American Grit: McNally and 150 Years of Pittsburg Progress” is on display from July 1-Sept. 26 at Miners Hall Museum. \nThe story we tell with the objects in the exhibit is ultimately the story of Pittsburg’s people. For 150 years\, generations of residents have met challenges with resilience\, hard work\, and an unwavering commitment to community. From the industries that built and sustain this city to the schools and institutions that helped it grow and adapt\, Pittsburg’s success has always been rooted in people investing in one another. \nAs we gathered artifacts\, photographs\, and stories for this exhibit\, we were reminded that history isn’t just found in major events – it’s preserved in the everyday objects\, memories\, and experiences that connect us across generations. Every piece in this exhibit helps tell a part of Pittsburg’s story\, but none of it would have been possible without the people who shared their memories\, loaned treasured artifacts\, and trusted us with pieces of their family and community history. \nWe invite visitors to spend time with the items\, discover something new about our community\, and reflect on the role they play in Pittsburg’s future. Whether your family has been here for generations or you just arrived\, there’s a place for your story in the next chapter of Pittsburg’s history.
