Schlanger Park

Steam Engine: In the Southwest corner of the park near Shelter #2, the Kansas City Southern Steam Locomotive #1023 is on display for public viewing.	725 E. 6th Shelter Houses: There are two shelters inside the park. Shelter #1 seats 50-60 people with easy access to 4th Street parking lot. Shelter #2 seats 25-30 people and is located next to sand volleyball courts. To reserve a shelter house call the Parks and Recreation Office at 231-8310.

Volleyball Courts: Two sand volleyball courts, which are located on the south side of the park, are   available for public use. To reserve a court, call 231-8310.    









Tennis & basketball courts: Located at the northeast corner of the park.



Restrooms: The restrooms are located by the wading pool.

Wading Pool: Children from the age of 7 years and younger are welcome to come and cool off during the afternoons in June, July and August. Children must be accompanied by an adult 18 years or older. Admission is FREE.

The Pitt Skate Park: Located in the northeast corner of the park. Children and adults can use skateboards and skates daily and bikes on Wednesdays.



Sledding Hill: There is a hill located on the Southside of the park where area children and adults come to sled during the winter months.
