20th and Broadway Intersection

DESCRIPTION:

Improvement of the intersection of North Broadway Street (U.S. 69 Highway) and 20th Street by partial removal of the existing pavement, drainage improvements, curb and gutter, and incidental construction relating to the improvement, easement and right-of-way acquisitions, widening 20th Street both east and west from said intersection, five (5) lanes of paving on Broadway Street being a distance of 420 feet to the north and 350 feet to the south of said intersection and three (3) lanes of paving on 20th Street being a distance of 300 feet to the east and 410 feet to the west of said intersection to provide left turn lanes, pavement marking, surveying, sidewalks, upgraded traffic signals, storm drainage improvements, water lines, sanitary sewer lines, utility relocation, and design and construction engineering. 

[NOTE:  Storm sewer improvements associated with the project will be expanded to 21st Street to alleviate storm drain problems at the intersection of 20th and Broadway.  The water and sewer lines at the intersection of 20th and Broadway are in conflict with the storm sewers and need to be relocated/replaced.]
